Handy Tips Many household detergents actually strip polish from paintwork, leaving the surface dull and unprotected. Some contain salt which may induce corrosion.
Before shampooing, if possible, hose down vehicle to loosen and remove excess grime.
Use a soft automotive sponge. If you drop your sponge ensure it does not contain grit which will otherwise scratch the paintwork.
Work from the top of the vehicle downwards, completing one side at a time and leaving the wheels until last.
If possible, finally flood rinse the whole vehicle with a gently running hose. Residual water can be removed using an Autoglym Flexi Water Blade or Aqua-Dry synthetic leather.
