Protectakote 4 litre UVR Black is 50% stronger, faster drying and has even greater resistance to discolouration when it is always exposed to direct sunlight (flatbeds for instance). We recommend that for high wear areas, areas exposed to salt water or areas that are fully exposed to sunlight  you always use Protectakote UVR for maximum longevity. 

Protectakote UVR Black is perfect for application on off-road 4WD vehicles. It can be applied to wheel arches, sills and chassis components. It is a permanent application and provides a protective coating that will prevent stonechips to your paintwork in turn preventing the start of rust spots. Protectakote UVR is applied in place of body sealant and is much more efficient at preventing the ingress of water as it is polyurethane based. It is like painting your car with a coating of rubber. It is a rubber boot for your 4WD!

Protectakote UVR has other properties being that it is a unique, advanced formula polyurethane anti-slip paint, incorporating rubber granules to give a totally flexible anti-slip (non-slip) finish that will not flake, chip or peel. No mixing or blending is required, it can be easily applied to almost any surface including metal, concrete, wood, fibreglass, plastic and rubber leaving an attractive textured anti-slip finish that is resistant to impacts. With these additional properties it can be used in the flatbeds of 4WD vehicles to provide a protective non-slip surface.

To save money you can apply the first coat with standard protectakote and only the second coat needs to be UVR as it is the one that will resist the exposure to UVR (ultra violet radiation), 50% of the coating will be at the cheaper non-UVR price. 

With this simple to use roll on bed liner kit its now easy for anyone to have a tough anti-slip coating in their pick-up truck, van or 4x4 in only a few hours. If you are using this kit on a large vehicle you might need to buy an additional litre. The kit contains everything you need to cover an area of up to 6 sq metres (60 sq feet) in tough Protectakote UVR. Perfect for a typical pick-up truck bed. The kit includes detailed instructions, rollers, paint brushes and a scotch pad. Protectakote UVR is anti-slip, impact resistant and waterproof. 

A 4 Litre tin will of Protectakote UVR cover approximately 6 sq metres with a recommended two coats minimum.

To get an even finish with Protectakote UVR it should be applied with a textured open-celled roller (inc in the kit) of the type used to paint Artex ceilings. It can also be applied using a brush in a stippling action.
