Protectakote UVR is perfect for application on off-road 4WD vehicles. It can be applied to wheel arches, sills and chassis components. It is a permanent application and provides a protective coating that will prevent stonechips to your paintwork in turn preventing the start of rust spots. Protectakote UVR is applied in place of body sealant and is much more efficient at preventing the ingress of water as it is polyurethane based. It is like painting your car with a coating of rubber. In fact it is a rubber boot for your 4WD! To save money you can apply the first coat with standard protectakote and only the second coat needs to be UVR as it is the one that will resist the exposure to UVR (ultra violet radiation), 50% of the coating will be at the cheaper non-UVR price.
Protectakote UVR has other properties being that it is a unique, advanced formula polyurethane anti-slip
paint, incorporating rubber granules to give a totally flexible
anti-slip (non-slip) finish that will not flake, chip or peel. No
mixing or blending is required, it can be easily applied to almost any
surface including metal, concrete, wood, A 1 Litre tin of Protectakote UVR will cover approximately 1.5 sq metres (15 sq feet) with a recommended two coats minimum. To get an even finish with Protectakote UVR it should be applied with a textured open-celled roller of the type used to paint Artex ceilings. It can also be applied using a brush in a stippling action. |
