Protectakote has other properties being that it is a unique, advanced formula polyurethane anti-slip
paint, incorporating rubber granules to give a totally flexible
anti-slip (non-slip) finish that will not flake, chip or peel. No
mixing or blending is required, it can be easily applied to almost any
surface including metal, concrete, wood, A 1 Litre tin will cover approximately 1.5 sq metres (15 sq feet) with a recommended two coats minimum. To get an even finish with Protectakote it should be applied with a textured open-celled roller of the type used to paint Artex ceilings. It can also be applied using a brush in a stippling action. Please note that for high wear areas, areas exposed to salt water or areas that are fully exposed to sunlight we recommend using the UVR version of Protectakote for maximum longevity. |

I have a "ljus förfärlig anfalla cykel", a "light terrain attack cycle" based upon a German army bike of WWII. I have painted all the insides of the wheelarches with the protectakote paint with the rubber granules. IT has protected them from rust and stonechips. It is going to be painted on all my bikes/motorbikes.

Protectakote is perfect for application on off-road 4WD vehicles. It
can be applied to wheel arches, sills and chassis components. It is a permanent application and provides a
protective coating that will prevent stonechips to your paintwork in turn preventing the start of rust spots. Protectakote is applied in place
of body sealant and is much more efficient at preventing the ingress of water as it is polyurethane based. It is like painting your car with a coating of rubber. It is a rubber boot for your 4WD!
